I think we can all agree this week — this year for that matter, has been one heck of a rollercoaster ride for our country. I want to share a little of what’s been on my heart. I can’t begin to understand or relate to some of the issues that are weighing so heavily on so many right now. As I try to find my role, and my family’s role in how we move forward to make change, I keep going back to the simplest of concepts — love. Going back to when I was a child, making my dad sing and play the guitar over and over the same song, Jesus loves the little children.
“Jesus loves the little children,
All the children of the world.
Red and yellow, black and white,
All are precious in His sight,”
Jesus LOVES the children, ALL the children of the WORLD. We are His children — each and every one of us.
When our children started school, we told them to be ready to Listen, Learn and Love. And this is exactly what I believe we all need to be doing. Starting each day ready to listen to others, learn from one another and most of all love one another.
